The Academy of Dance ShowBiz Kids are a competitive team of dancers, selected by audition for a specific “competition company”, and placed in choreography where they will best contribute to the success of their group and thrive as an individual dancer.

We compete with other schools at regional and national competitions during the year as well as perform at numerous shows. The training you receive will prepare you for a competitive dance environment as well as develop showmanship for performances onstage. As a member of the ShowBiz Kids, you will be constantly challenged to learn new skills as well as perfect your technique as a dancer. You can expect to work hard and at the same time have FUN! Whether you choose to pursue a career in the performing arts or not, the training, discipline, and enjoyment of working with your team members towards a goal will be with you forever. You'll make friends for life!

 

Over the past 34 years, many of our Company members have used the valuable life lessons they learned here to go on to successful careers as professional dancers, Broadway performers, Radio City Rockettes, doctors, attorneys, business people, and wonderful parents! We are proud that many former students and company members have enrolled their children at The Academy.
