OUR STaff

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE. Several of our instructors have professional experience as performers in Broadway Shows and as members of prestigious dance and ballet companies.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING. We have the most qualified staff anywhere on the East Coast. Our instructors are professionals in the industry and include those with College Degrees in Dance, Choreography, and Musical Theatre.

PROVEN CURRICULUM. We are “Certified by Test to Teach” by Dance Masters of America, and we follow a proven curriculum. Our Gym/Acro teachers have experience as competitive gymnasts. Several of our instructors have certifications from USA Gymnastics and Dance Masters and have demonstrated their knowledge, skills, and abilities in teaching safe and effective dance and gymnastics instruction.

ROLE MODELS. Our teachers are dedicated professionals who are passionate about working with young people. They love helping young dancers and gymnasts learn and perfect new skills, and they are fantastic role models for young people.

NATIONAL AND REGIONAL AWARDS. Our competitive dance company has won over 1293 National and 3220 Regional awards for excellence in dance.

NATIONAL CHOREOGRAPHY AWARDS. We have won several National Choreography Awards based on our superior scores in competition.

life lessons

At THE ACADEMY, our students learn more than just Dance and Gymnastics. We teach essential life lessons and life skills using dance and gymnastics training as the vehicle.

SOCIAL SKILLS. Teamwork, communication, and responsibility to others are all learned through attending group classes and participating in group performances. Working as a productive member of a team is an essential life skill that applies to school, relationships, and work.

INDIVIDUAL SKILLS. Students learn to interact with and receive corrections from teachers. They learn the value of setting a goal and the rewards of achieving that goal. They also learn there is a payoff in the future for hard work done today.   

CHARITY AND HELPING OTHERS. Over the past 33 years, our students have presented a Christmas Spectacular to benefit Operation Smile. To date, we have paid for 1327 surgeries. Our students learn the importance of helping others during rehearsals and the performance.
